    The dinner cost was $ 48

    Step-by-step explanation:

    Let the dinner cost was $ x

    Will paid x / 4

    Micah paid 1 / 4 of remaining (1 - 1 / 4) x = 3/4 x

    i. e

    4 / 16x

    Sue paid 3/4 of remaining (1 - 1 / 4) x = 3/4x

    i. e

    9/16 x

    Sue paid $ 15 more than Will.

    ∴ 9/16 x - 1 / 4 x = 5/16x=15

    or

    x=$48

    Will paid 48 / 4 = $ 1 2, Miah paid 4 / 16. 48 = $ 12

    , Sue paid 9/16⋅ 48 = $ 27

    The dinner cost was $ 48
