The edges of a cube are 5 centimeters each and the diagonal of a face is approximately 7 centimeters. What is the approximate area of the cross section passing through the diagonals of opposite faces of this cube?

    The area of the surface passing through the diagonal of a cube is a triangle, so we have to use the formula on the area of a triangle.

    Getting the area of the triangle using the formula:

    A = 1/2bh

    band h = 5

    A = 25/2 cm^2

    since we also need the area of the opposite we will multiply it by 2

    Total area = 25 cm^2. The answer is letter B. 25cm^2
