Why do whole numbers raised to an exponent get greater wealth fractions raised to an exponent get smaller

    Fraction means a part of so it takes a part of itself each time

    (1/2) ^2=1/2 times 1/2, meaning it divides 1/2 by 2

    but

    2^2=2 times 2=4

    because that's how math works
