Event A = white marble is selected

Event B = blue marble is selected

    P (A) = 5/10 = 1/2

    p (B) = 5/10 = 1/2

Probability that A and B are independent events is:

    P (A∩B) = 1/2 * 1/2

    Answer: 1/4
