10 * 4 = 40
So 10 quarts is 40 cups.

Every quart has two pints 1 Q = 2 P
Every pint has two cups 1 P = 2 C
Two pints have two cups 2 P = 4 C
Which mean that one quart has four pints 1 Q = 4 C
So then just multiply the four cups times 10 quarts, and you'll get 40 cups
