Tin A has red paint and blue paint in the ratio 2:3. Tin B has red paint and blue paint in the ratio 4:5. Which tin has the greater proportion of blue paint? Explain how you know.

    3/5 of tin A is painted blue whereas 5/9 of tin B is painted blue. if you make the fractions have equal fractions tin A is 27/45 and tin B is 25/49. 27/45 is bigger than 25/45 meaning tin A has the greater proportion of blue paint.
