Can u subtract negatives

    Yes you can subtract a negative number, here is an example:

    If you are going to subtract two negatives, make sure you put parenthesis on it:

    -15 - (-7)

    Then you turn it into a positive:

    -15 + 7

    Your answer for it should be:

    = - 8

    So yes, you can subtract negatives.

    Yes The Rules: Rule Example Two like signs become a positive sign + (+) 3 + (+2) = 3 + 2 = 5 - (-) 6 - (-3) = 6 + 3 = 9 Two unlike signs become a negative sign + (-) 7 + (-2) = 7 - 2 = 5 - (+) 8 - (+2) = 8 - 2 = 6
