Mrs. Inman place the following function on the board:

y=-x^2+7x-12

Sharla says that the zeros of this function are x = - 4 and x = - 3.

Lauren says that the zeros of this function are x = 4 and x = 3.

Who is correct: Sharla or Lauren? Explain your reasoning to receive full credit.

    -x^2+7x-12=0. (*-1)

    x^2-7x+12=0

    (x-4) (x-3) = 0

    the zeroes are x = 4 and x = 3
