    to find the inverse interchange x and y and then solve for y

    y = 2/5 x-1

    x = 2/5 y-1

    add 1 to each side

    x+1 = 2/5 y

    multiply by 5/2

    5/2 (x+1) = y

    this is the inverse

    g^-1 (x) = 5/2 (x+1)
