    2 (2t+4) = 34 (24-8t)

    First, distribute into parentheses

    4t+8 = 816-272t

    Now, subtract 4t from both sides

    8 = 816-276t

    Subtract 816 from both sides

    -808 = - 276t

    Divide both sides by - 276

    2.927 = t

    2 (2t+4) = 34 (24-8t)

    4t + 8 = 816 - 272t (Because of distributive property)

    276t + 8 = 816 (Because I added the negative 192 to the other side, due to combine like terms)

    276t = 808 (Subtracted 8 from 816)

    t = 202/69 (After dividing 808 and 276, the answer is remained in fraction form!)
