    y = x + 5

    - x + y = - x + x + 5

    -x + y = 5

    3x + y = - 3

    -x + y = 5

    3x + y = - 3

    3 * (-x + y) = 5

    3x + y = - 3

    -3x + 3y = 5

    4y = 2

    4y/4 = 2/4

    y = 1/2
