    The first thing we must do for this case is to define variables:

    x = rental cost of movies

    y = rental cost of video games

    We write the system of equations:

    6x + 2y = 36

    3x + 5y = 39

    Resolving we have:

    x = 4.25 $

    y = 5.25 $

    Answer:

    The rental cost for each movie and each video game is:

    movies = 4.25 $

    video games = 5.25 $

    I believe that it's:

    6 + 2 = 8; 36 : 8 = 4.5

    3 + 5 = 8; 39 : 8 = 4.875
