Lets say you must take x one-way rides. And you want the cost of the one-way rides' total to be bigger than the pass so that it's a better deal:

    1.25x > 41

    Now solve:

    1.25x > 41

    x > 41/1.25

    x > 32.8

There are no rides sold in decimals so you have to round it up to 33. The least number of one-way rides is 33.
