Hal rides 5 hours total on a bicycle trip into the country and back. He rode out at the rate of 17 mph and returned at the rate of 22 mph. How far into the country did Hal ride (round to the nearest hundredth) ?

    97.5 miles. I divided 5 hours by 2 and got 2.5 hours, then I multiplied it 2.5 by 17 = 42.5 and 2.5 by 22 = 55. I added them together and got 97.5 miles.
