Dan is cutting 4.75 foot lengths of twine from a 240 feet spool of twine. he needs to cut 42 lengths, and says that 40.5 feet of twine will remain. show that this is reasonable

    Well if you do 4.75 ft times 42, you get 199.5ft. Then subtract 199.5 ft from 240ft and you end up with 40.5 left over. Yes, this is reasonable.
