An airplane travels at a rate of 300 miles per hour in still air. one day it travels 1200 miles against the wind in the same amount of time it takes to travel 1800 miles with the wind. what is the wind speed?

    Wind speed: 100 miles per hour

    300 times 6 = 1800 miles so it took 6 hours to travel 1800 miles. 1800 minus 1200 miles = 600 miles. you lost 600 miles over 6 hours or 100 miles per hour
