My dad has 8 oak and maple boards from the lumber yard. Each oak board is 9 centimeters thick. Each maple board is 6 centimeters thick. When my dad stacks the boards, the stack is 60 centimeters thick. How many of each type of board does he have

    He has 4 oaks because each oak is 9 cm and 9*4=36

    and he has 4 maple because the maple is 6 cm and 6*4 = 24 and 24+36=60

    so he as 4 of each
