3 over 20 is the same as 3 divided by 20 which equals 0.15 therefore multiply it by 100, equals 15%

Well a percentage is basically a decimal. If we take the 20 and times it by 5, we can get a 100th of a decimal, 15/100 = 0.15. Now we just change it to a percentage! 15%
