    Calculate 16% of 850.

The way I do this is by breaking it up into smaller pieces.

First I would find 10% of 850. To do this I need to divide 850 by 10, as 100%/10 gives us 10%, which is what we need.

    So 10% = 85

Then we need 5%, which is half of 10%, therefore half of 85,

    So 5% = 42.5

Then we need 1% which is 10%/10, so 85/10.

    So 1% = 8.5

Then we add all these together to get 16%.

    So 16% = 136

They predict that 102 people will come back, which is less than the 16% that should come back to stay again, so their prediction is too low.
