Joe made a scale drawing of the auditorium. He used the scale 1 inch = 2 feet. If the stage is 26 inches in the drawing, how long is the actual stage?

    1 inch : 2 feet is 1 inch for every 24 inches.

    If his drawing is 26 inches, then he needs to scale it up 24 times.

    26*24=624.

    The actual stage is 624 inches long, or to simplify, divide by 12 and you get 52 feet.
