    To find the x-intercept and find the y-intercept, we need to write the equation given as the line equation of the form:

    y = mx + b, where m is the line's slope and b is the y-intercept, so lets use the equation given and give it that form:

    x + 7y = 35

    7y = 35 - x

    y = (-1/7) x + 5

    therefore the y-intercept is 5, that means that when x = 0, y = 5

    Now lets find out what happens when y = 0 with x, and that will be the x-intercept:

    y = (-1/7) x + 5

    0 = (-1/7) x + 5

    (1/7) x = 5

    x = 7*5

    x = 35

    therefore the x intercept is 35, which means that when y = 0, x = 35
