    2.59 pounds or 650gm

    Step-by-step explanation:

    a) = $1.99 per pound

    b) 5.17/1.99 = 2.597989949 so this means we have to find at least 10th of a pound. = 250.00gm/10 = 25gm or 0.10 pound

We can either count up 6/10 pounds or change to grams or 5.9/10 pounds or change to grams = 500gm + 150gm = 650gm. or 2.59 pounds.

    c) $5.17 = 2 pound + 1.19/1.99 = 0.59798994974 = 59.79% of 1.99 = 1.189821

    and also 59.79 = 0.59

We simply just add 0.59 to 2 = 2.59 pounds and not round up.
