A string of kite 100 meters long and it makes an angle of 60 degrees with horizontal. If the person is holding the string 0.8 m from the ground, find the height of kite from the ground

    opposite side is the height and hypotenuse is the length of the string

    100 Sin 60 gives the height from the hand.

    100 x sin60 = 100 x 0.866 = 86.6m from the hand.

    Since the hand is 0.8m above the ground height is = 86.6 + 0.8 = 87.4m
