    Let the width of the room be = x

    Length of the room = 3x, Since it is three times as wide

    Perimeter = 80m

    Perimeter = 2 * (L + W) = 2 * (3x + x) = 80

    2 * (3x + x) = 80

    2 * (4x) = 80

    8x = 80 Divide both sides by 8

    x = 80/8

    x = 10, But length = 3x, = 3*10 = 30

    Length = 30m
