    Area of a Circle = (pi) * (radius) * (radius)

    radius = (diameter) / 2 = 12 / 2 = 6

    Area of this Circle = (pi) * (6) * (6) = 36 pi

    Answer: 36 pi, 113.04 (if using 3.14 as pi), or 113.01 (if using actual pi)
