Mitchell went into the candy store to buy some bubble gum. The gum costs $1.52 and has 8 pieces. What is the unit rate for a piece of gum?

    1.52/8 = 0.19/1 ... so each piece costs 19 cents

    It is $0.19 a piece because unit rate means that one quantity has to be one. So i divided 8 by 8 to get one and 1.52 by 8 to get 0.19
