Elsa, Alan, and Deon have a total of $82 in their wallets. Alan has 3 times what Deon has. Deon has $7 less than Elsa. How much do they have in their wallets?

    Let

    Elsa=x

    Deon=x-7

    Alan=3 (x-7)

    Total=$82

    x + (x-7) + 3 (x-7) = 82

    x+x-7+3x-21=82

    5x-28=82

    5x=82+28

    Elsa=x=$22

    Deon=x-7

    =22-7

    =$15

    Alan=3 (x-7)
