The information's given in this problem needs to be carefully read before starting the problem.

Number of girls in the school = 300

Percentage of girls playing a sport in the school = 53%

Number of girls playing a spot in the school = (53/100) * 300

    = 53 * 3

    = 159

So 159 girls in the school play a sport.

Number of boys in the school = 500

Percentage of boys playing a sport in the school = 39%

Number of boys playing a sport in the school = (39/100) * 500

    = 39 * 5

    = 195

So 195 boys in the school play a sport

Now it can be conclusively said that the number of boys playing a sport is more than the number of girls playing a sport in the school.
