Slope intercept form is y=mx+b. y and x are variables while m is the slope and b is the y intercept. To find the slope us the formula (y2-y1) / (x2-x1) = mMake sure the y2 and x2 are from the same ordered pair. Also, make sure the y1 and x1 are from the same ordered pair. To find the y-int, choose an ordered pair and plug it into the y=mx+b equation. You should have already found the slope m from above so you will have a numerical value for y, m, and x. All you will have to solve for is b. m = (-2 - (-7)) / (6-3) = 5/3 Finding b: - 2 = (5/3) (6) + b-12=b answer: y = (5/3) x-12
