The mean of people in the sample of households of 7th-grade students is 4.3. The mean of people in the sample of households for 8th-grade students is 4.5. What might Principal Coleman infer or predict about the entire population based on the data?

    The only insight we can get when comparing means is the sample who has the most number of people per household among the two. Knowing that the average number of people per household among the sample of 8th grade students is higher than that of the 7th grade sample, Principal Coleman can infer that 8th graders have more people in their households than 7th graders. If this trend continues for Grade 9 onwards, he can also say that the number of people per household is increasing with respect to the students' grade level.
