D'naya has 5/6 pounds of cups of frosting to put on batch of cupcakes. He puts 1/8 of a cup on one cupcake. How much does he have left to use on the rest of the batch?

    5/6 - 1/8 = 5 (8) / [6 (8) ] - 1 (6) / [8 (6) ]

    5/6 - 1/8 = [5 (8) - 1 (6) ]/[8 (6) ]

    5/6 - 1/8 = [40 - 6]/[48]

    5/6 - 1/8 = [34]/[48]

    5/6 - 1/8 = 17/24 (reducing the fraction by diving top/numerator and bottom/denominator by 2)
