The ratio of 1 to (4x-3) equals the ratio (x+3) to 4. What is the SUM of the values of x that satisfy the equation?

    (4x-3) = 4 x (x+3)

    (4x - 3) = 4 x x + 4 x 3

    (4x-3) = 4x + 12

    4x - 4x = 12 - 3

    x = 9
