A coach tells his little league players that hitting a 0.275 batting average, within 7% percentage error, means that they had a really great season. seven year old tommy ended the season hitting a 0.258 batting average. according to his coach, did he have a great season?

    0.275 + 0.07 (0.275) = 0.275 + 0.01925 = 0.29425 rounds to 0.294

    0.275 - 0.07 (0.275) = 0.275 - 0.01925 = 0.25575 rounds to 0.256

    to have a really great season, u have to hit x : 0.256 < = x < = 0.294

    So Tommy, since he hit 0.258, has had a great season. (because that score falls in between 0.256 and 0.294)
