At Kim's birthday party, there were 42 guests. If each guests ate 1/6 of a cake (and there was no cake leftover), how many cakes were there?

    There were 7 cakes

    So each person ate 1/6 of a cake right! So that means if took 6 people to eat 1 cake. But there were 42 people there. So we do 42 divided by 6 = 7

    So there were 7 cakes
