A baker is using a cookie recipe that calls for 2 1/4 cups of flower to yield 36 cookies. How many flour will the baker need to make 90 cookies using the same recipe?

    90/36 is 2.5, so the Baker needs to make 2.5 batches of cookies

    2.5 batches of cookies x 2.25 cups of flour

    is 5.625 cups of flour

    which is 5 5/8 cups of flour
