Solve the equation:

(x+3) (x-2) = 0

Find the solution with the lowest value.

    (x+3) (x-2) = 0

    x+3=0 = > x=-3

    x-2=0 = > x=2

    The solution with the lowest value is x=-3.

    Set each to zero

    because

    if yx=0, assume that x and y=0

    so

    (x+3) (x-2) = 0

    x+3=0

    minus 3

    x=-3

    x-2=0

    add 2

    x=2

    x=-3 and 2
