The volume of the gas tank in mr. paget's car is 128 pints. if the gas tank is empty, how many gallons of gas should mr. paget pump at the gas station to fill the tank? (1 gallon = 8 pints)

    1 / 8 = x / 128 ... 1 gall to 8 pints = x gall to 128 pints

    cross multiply

    8x = 128

    x = 128/8

    x = 16 gallons <==
