    The equation to calculate perimeter of rectangle is (length+width) x2

    Therefore, we can use algebra to solve this question.

    Let the width be w,

    (88+w) x2 = 310

    88+w = 310/2

    88+w = 155

    w=155-88

    w=67

    Therefore, the width should be 67 feet.

    Since there is two sides you would times 88 by 2 which would give you 176. Then subtract that from the total so 310-176 = 134. Then divide that by to and you would get 67 for the width
