Peter has 15 construction sets in his collection. John has 5 more construction sets than Peter. What is the ratio of John's construction sets to Peter's construction sets?

    Ratio is comparing the amount of 1 thing to the amount of another thing. you need to add 15+5 to get the amount of construction sets john has, leaving you with 20. your base ratio is then 20:15. BUT you still can't forget to simplify. you would simplify by dividing. 20:5=4 now since you divided 20 by 5, you need to do the same to 15, whuch would be 3. your final answer is 4:3 ratio.
