Jim is 9 years old and Katy is 6 years younger than jim, in how many years will Jim be twice as old as Katy

    Katy : 8 - 6 = 3 years old

    After o years

    9+o = 2 (3+o)

    4.5+0.5o = 3+o

    0.5o = 1.5

    o = 3

    so the answer is in 3 years
