What is the power output of a pump which can raise 60 kg of water to a height of 10m every minute

    Work = m•g•h

    Power = work / time

    Power = m•g•h / time

    m = 60 kg

    g = 9.8 m/s^2

    h = 10 m

    time = 1 min = 60 sec

    Power = (60kg) (9.8m/s^2) (10m) / 60s

    Power = 98 watts
