In a tape player sound is stored in the tape then from the tape, sound is converted to electrical signals then to the ears where as in a record player electric signals from the spinning cord are feed directly into an amplifier connected to a loudspeaker for us to hear.

    Explanation:

In a record player, magnetic devices convert sound vibrations originating from from a spinning record into electric signals that are feed into an amplifier in a loudspeaker to make us hear the sound. A tape player utilizes a magnetic tape as the medium where the sound is stored into the tape. Here sound waves are converted into electric signals in the recorded and the sound wave goes to our ears due to polarity changes caused by the small magnets in the headphones.
