What is the resistance of a toaster that uses 2A when connected to a 120V power source?

    Explanation:

    From Ohm's Law:

    V = IR

    Where V = 120volts

    I = 2A

    R = ?

    Note that R, V and I represents resistance, voltage and current respectively.

    Substituting the above values into the formula.

    V = IR

    120v = 2*R

    120 = 2R

    Making R the subject

    R = 120/2

    R = 60 ohms

    Hence the resistance of the toaster will be 60 ohms.
