When a capacitor, battery, and resistor are connected in series, does the resistor affect the maximum charge stored on the capacitor? Why or why not? What purpose does the resistor serve?

    Absolutely No, resistance does not affect the maximum charge stored in capacitor as maximum charge stored is equal to Q=CV where V is voltage of battery

    Resistor functions only to determine how quickly or lately capacitor will get charge
