A 0.2 kg plastic cart and a 20 kg lead cart can both roll without friction on a horizontal surface. equal forces are used to push both carts forward for a distance of 1 m, starting from rest. after traveling 1 m, is the momentum of the plastic cart greater than, less than, or equal to the momentum of the lead cart?

    The momentum of the plastic cart will be less than the lead cart. If you will notice the mass of the plastic cart is much lower than the lead cart. This means that the plastic cart will accelerate faster and cover the distance in less time, which will affect the momentum. This is because the time the force is applied on the plastic cart would be less than the lead cart, which will ultimately affect the momentum.
