    The magnitude of the resultant force acting on the object 13.86 N

    Explanation:

    Resultant Force: the resultant of two or more forces is the single force which produce the same effect as the forces acting together.

    Using

    R² = P² + Q² - 2PQcos (180-θ) ... Equation 1

    Where R = resultant force, P = first force, Q = Second force, θ = angle between the forces.

    Given: P = 8 N, Q = 8 N, θ = 60°

    Substituting these values into equation 1

    R² = 8²+8²-2*8*8cos (180-60)

    R² = 64+64-128cos120

    R² = 128 - 128 (-0.5)

    R² = 128+64

    R² = 192

    R = √192

    R = 13.86 N.

    Thus the magnitude of the resultant force acting on the object 13.86 N
