If a radioactivite material has 1 hour half-life, how much of a 1000 g sample will be left after 6 hours

    The radioactive portion of the sample gets cut in half every hour.

    After 6 hours, there's (1/2) ⁶ of it left. That's 1/64 of it.

    (1000g/64) = 15.625 grams
