Suppose you squeeze a sponge into a small ball. does the mass of the sponge change? Does it's density change?

    The mass changes if it has water (i'm assuming it does) the density shouldn't change because density is the weight of the object without the force of gravity acting upon it

    Its mass does not unless it has water stored in it, however its density does
