When firms compete, there is an incentive to innovate by improving existing goods and creating new ones. How did the technological innovations of computer companies in the 20th century affect consumers' standard of living in the United States?

    Computer Companies in the 20th century have changed the world by drastically increasing the standard of living all over the world. This was mainly done by developing software systems to automate menial repetitive tasks at a much faster pace. This therefore frees up lots of time and saves individuals large quantities of money.
