What are some of the ways the government can regulate the economy

The government can regulate the economy through many differents ways, amongst them it can be done firstly by the creation of laws and legal regulations (such as for tax, use of land, rules of exportation and importation); then it policies of incentive and fundraising of business and specific economic sectors (to control unemployment's rate, inflation or interest rates); with foreign deals and contracts with others countries or as well with different political understanting of how society works it eithers promotes liberal economy or social and enviroment-friendy economy measures.
